David Boyd – CEO and Founder Mr. Boyd has over 20 years experience in product, vehicle, interior and furniture design, and prototype development, starting his professional career at Honda R&D North America in 1986. He has been a founding partner in several startup ventures. As a founder of Trans2, Inc., Mr. Boyd was responsible for initial vehicle prototyping and development, production component CAD development and initial manufacturing quality control. Trans2 developed the first Neighborhood Electric Vehicle in the US, and was eventually sold and renamed Global Electric Motors (GEM), which was finally purchased by Chrysler Motors Corporation. Mr. Boyd was also founder and VP of Contour, Inc., a product development and prototyping firm in Silicon Valley. Contour grew from two founders to a team of 20 people in its first 5 years, becoming the largest prototype design shop in Silicon Valley. As Founder and Vice President of Contour, Mr. Boyd was responsible for corporate strategy and management, client and vendor relations, project planning and advanced CAD/CAM modeling and machining. David is presently a Co-founder and CEO of SynkroMotive, LLC. As CEO of Synkro, he has been responsible for overall corporate management and vision, product mechanical design and development, product prototyping and vendor relations. David has an extensive background and knowledge in product design, fabrication, prototype development, and manufacturing technologies. He studied Transportation Design at the Art Center College of Design, in Pasadena, CA. . Ives Meadors – President and Founder Mr. Meadors has over 20 years experience working in the electronics industry. From a broad background of work he has acquired a thorough competence in all phases of design, development and manufacturing; his strength is translating market needs into finished products. With a proven track record of consistent above-market performance and a demonstrated ability to bring products from concept to completion, Mr. Meadors has a highly developed understanding of the requirements necessary to ensure quality and stability of product design. Mr. Meadors’ areas of expertise include product development, test engineering, project management in both consumer and industrial electronics, with a specialization in power controls, including battery charging and management systems. Mr. Meadors followed electric drive vehicle technology for many years before entering the EV world in 1998 by developing components and supporting grassroots EV organizations including donating time to local Electrothon programs. He is presently a Co-founder of SynkroMotive, LLC, developing Electric Vehicle drive systems in Portland, OR.
